With this in mind we have developed Local Environmental Quality Services, a specialist training package to ensure that your employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills to carry out environmental management effectively.

District Local Environmental Quality Survey (DLEQS)

The ENCAMS DLEQS is a three-year programme that will train your staff to deliver monitoring to a government approved standard and identify areas of improvement.

Based on the national Local Environmental Quality Survey of England (LEQSE), the DLEQS allows users to compare their performance directly against regional and national benchmarks.

Plus, Small Area Surveys can also be carried out to focus on problem areas such as town centres, schools, business improvement districts and major event locations.

The DLEQS offers:

• Initial benchmark report
• Specialist training and baseline reports
• Certification of internal surveyors based on a national standard
• Action plan/review meetings
• Access to a secure electronic database and analysis facilities
• Guidance and consultation on cleansing regimes and equipment usage
• Access to case studies
• Attendance at events focusing on monitoring and management

Estate Local Environmental Quality Services (ELEQS)

The DLEQS programme has also been adapted into the ELEQS to offer a specialist monitoring package to Housing Associations and other Social Landlords. The ELEQS enjoys the same offers as those listed in the DLEQS above.
